TLC has developed fun, hands-on educational activities to merge environmental science and healthy eating. Each grade has their own set of unique lessons used to promote skills and knowledge for the next year. These lessons help students become stewards of the environment and encourage a healthy diet.
Students will focus on scientific research as they are introduced to new topics. Developing questions, conducting research, collecting data, and comparing results are highlighted in each lesson. TLC has partnered with three schools to bring community gardens to their schoolyard (Greenwood Elementary School in Kennett Square, PA, Jordan Bank and Nottingham Elementary School in Oxford, PA).
